Plockton Studio is a stone’s throw from the Skye bridge, Eilean Donan Castle and within minutes of the beautiful village of Plockton.

There are numerous walks the moment you leave from the cottage. If you want to go further afield there is some wonderful countryside to explore.

If you are more energetic there is the odd Munro around which you will be unable to resist.

There are also numerous watersport activities and mountain biking is becoming increasingly popular. Or, if you fancy something more peaceful, there is some excellent fishing to be found locally.

Information

This pet-friendly, self catering accommodation features a good sized kitchen with all the expected facilities including a dishwasher. The kitchen leads into a comfortable living area with dining table. The large sitting room has a high vaulted ceiling. The main family area then leads to the bedrooms and the shower room. There are two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin.

Plockton Studio is available for rent throughout the year. This property can also be rented with neighbouring Parth Galen which sleeps up to 8. The twin Plockton lodges which can accommodate up to another 12 people.

Change over day is Saturday with check in at 3pm and check out at 10am.

The Surrounding Area.

Plockton, on the shores of Loch Carron, is an idyllic spot. The picturesque village is lined with neatly painted houses. Plockton has a delightful harbour where you can find a pleasure boat to take you out on a fishing or seal spotting trip. Palm trees line the main street and the particular quality of the light makes the village a haven for artists and photographers. You can browse in the shops and galleries or simply enjoy a stroll along the bay. Plockton is considered by the locals to be the “Jewel in the Highlands’ crown”.

Further afield, you can enjoy the National Trust gardens at Balmacara or visit the Isle of Skye. Walk in the Torridon or Kintail mountains, and discover and explore this unspoilt and scenic area of west Scotland.

Returning in the evening to Plockton Studio you can sit in front of the wood burning stove and relax with that favourite bottle of wine. many of the local restaurants specialise in serving some of the fantastic seafood dishes for which the west coast is famous.
